The UK duo's new single presents a darker twist on their festival-ready sound.

Bicep's new single, "CHROMA 001 HELIUM," launches their CHROMA label, which itself is part of a wider project, also called CHROMA, spanning events, live performance and a new visual identity. Although it's just been released, the track was written for a run of shows at London venue Alexandra Palace in 2022, the same year as their last single, "Water." While its big-room energy isn't far off their thumping, festival-ready tracks, it shows a heavier sound than the weightless arpeggios on 2021's Isles album. A gruff vocal and gritty bassline echo through signature production motifs: garage-y drums, skippy breaks and twinkling synths. "CHROMA 001 HELIUM" introduces the pair's darker side and translates their main stage energy into something more befitting of a warehouse.
