Club Jacket begins things with an intense piece of work, full of driving bass tones, upbeat drum patterns and twisted effects and stabs. Not a bad production, but for me it just lacks a bit of direction and it seems to go all over the place. Perhaps this is its goal, so in that respect it perhaps works with its uncompromising direction.
Gang Boy begins in a subdued manner, and then kicks into gear with a sinister stabbing set of dirty basslines. For me it’s a better production then the a-side, as it has a much better flow, a flow that is dirty and has a good funk.
