- Plastica Red turn their attention to the land of Russia with the release of Kalimba by the the Moscow based duo of Freza & DJ Flash.
The DJ Flash Mix is first up. It’s smooth progressive stuff for the early parts with no real cutting edge until it hits the mid section where some subtle melodies come in and join some gritty subdues riffs. Not too bad but you can’t help but feel that some of the sounds, especially late on, are quite dated.
The Freza Mix uses a more broken beat approach but despite this, the mix is a little too similar to the a-side and it really doesn’t add much to the release.
