Distance - Deep Blue

  • Steve Finney again returns to the Wallop Limited front, this time under the guise of Distance. He again delivers some very solid house music, and this time its Nick Hook and Martin Sharp under their First Life guise that deliver the reworking on the flip. The Original Mix is first up, and for lovers of solid groove house, then this is just what the doctor ordered. Credit must go to the solid funky baseline that does most of the work in this track all while smooth effects and warm sounds fill the air. Good solid vocals too don’t harm this production, helping to creat a pretty solid production here. On the flip First Life toughen up the atmosphere a bit with a slightly tougher interpretation. The drums are slightly more intensified, and the rolling baseline really gives it a little sinister edge. I must say that I really like this remix, as it combines some nice and funky elements with some pretty dirty baselines and drums. Quality! Another great release on Wallop Limited, displaying their policy of solid House Music.
