- Two New York lads in Chris Mulay and Hugo Cintron make up The Club Punks, and in this release on Applejaxx, they deliver a tribal anthem in Zumba. The veteran producer Peter Presta features on the flip with his reworking.
The Original Mix is some trademark tribal house music. There is an extreme focus on the percussive elements and solid drum work as well as a somewhat tribal chanting vocal that builds the track throughout.
On the flip we see Peter Presta put his reworking in, but unfortunately it adds only a slight touch to the original It does noticeably intensify the release; however, there is again a strong focus on the tribal side of things.
Not a bad release but a release that is hardly groundbreaking. If you love your tribal music then you may well love this, but for me it lacks a bit of inspiration and variety on both sides of the plate.
