  • The Gravitation lads are at it again, this time compiling the Future Sound of Gravity EP Volume 2. Featuring 4 selections of the things to come for this label, this release hopefully has the diversity to appeal to all out there! First up is Blue Haze with Amber Glow. A very smooth production here from Blue Haze with smooth effects combining delightfully with crisp drum patterns and warm melodies. A nice deep baseline keeps the track rolling nicely, and on the whole it is a nice way to start off this EP. Also on the a-side is Lynx with Awakening. The beats are slowed and the atmosphere gets a little ambient as the soothing sounds of vocal effects and warm melodies combined with a stunning atmosphere make for a delightful track. On the flip is firstly Section 75 with Hermit’s Curve. I must say that this production is quite intriguing, and I have figured its mainly to do with the drums. The flow quite nicely, but all the time they seem to be in 2nd gear, perhaps not as chunky as they could be. Having said this, they work quite well as they are ni9ce and hypnotic, and work well with the atmosphere set by the track’s melodic touches, vocal effects, and humming elements. A very solid production that is definitely the highlight of this release. Orchid conclude the EP with Illegal Alien, a nice progressive breaks track, that features nice crisp drum patterns and melodies that twinkle and shine in the process. Short and straight to the point, this is a welcome addition from Orchid who impressed with their amazing release on Hope not long ago. This is a very nice showcase from Gravitation, with the b-side shining with 2 great productions. The a-side is just as good mind you making this a release with 4 very solid tracks. Not bad to say the least!
