- Well it is finally time for Sumsonic to unleash the new set of remixes for Stars by Invisible Inc, undoubtedly one of the biggest releases for Sumsonic thus far. The Ambient mix in particular was pretty much made by a certain Sasha who opened many of his sets early in the year with the emotive piece of work, and this new remix from Sleepfreaks should definitely appeal to those looking to give the track a club workout.
The Ambient Version is first up and I am sure many of you know the score. This production is made of melodic hooks and smooth warm pads that also combine with a hint of drums that murmur in the background. It is beautifully arranged, with the track building as it progresses with the intensity of the hooks growing as they roll in.
The Sleepfreaks Remix on the flip is quite solid. The Sleepfreaks do what they do best and turn in another chunky house affair. From the word go the beats are forceful and the baseline is a little dirty. A cheeky looped melody opens up and continues throughout, while the hooks from the original come in and out of the production from time to time. The flow of the track is a highlight, with the beats not letting up for the most part.
A pretty good set of remixes with the Sleepfreaks mix sure to provide an added bonus for those that were so keen to get their hands on the Ambient version.
