Moshic - The Myth of Osiris EP

  • a. Part 1 b. Part 2 Hailing from Northern Israel, Moshic (real name Mo Shic Shlomi) has been creating quite a stir among the breaks and progressive crowds. Inspired by the dark sounds of electronic music, he is among the nu breed of producers that has return to the old sounds of trippy atmospheric sounds and twisting them into oblivious blackholes. This is a massive 2-track EP from the Israelian born who begins his conquest over dance fiends across the sphere. This nocturnal beast may surprise some to come out of the breaks scene and invade itself in the progressive arena so hard, but it’s safe to say that this monster is ready to blow your mind. Part One is lavish with twisting breaks that is devastating throughout the track as samples of an eastern vocal float in and out in a very atmospheric manner. Your body can’t stand but to obey these sick beats as it fulfills itself and infects your body with sinister grooves. The breakbeat devours the track so viciously that the atmospheric nature of the track is lost quite early. A heart and mind bender for sure, you must check out this track to hear for yourself the quality of programming and production work that is laid upon the first part of Osiris. The other side of the coin is tougher and has an even heavier b-line than the first part. I don’t know how that’s possible but Part Two is defiantly more rough and dirtier as well. Big beats are the nature throughout. The onslaught is harsh, as Moshic doesn’t let off one second with Part Two. Carnage continues until those eastern vocals drifts in to ease the brutal assault that is taking place before your ears. Combining sharp breakbeat percussion together with soaring synths that works incredibility well, the elements of dark vibrations will be much appreciated when listened to in a huge soundsystem. Darkness invades the light as it shows that without darkness, light can never be as bright. Epic in soundscape and devastating in disposition, Moshic doesn’t disappoint. His high standards intact, watch out for his next single that should be released quite soon from his new label - Contrast Records.
