Bakony Scamp – House Come Save Me

  • For the next release on Sumsonic, a new artist is called to the label in the form of Bakony Scamp. And not to end it these, Sumsonic also call on the services of Sleepfreaks to make their first vinyl appearance in two years as they remix House Come Save Me. The Original Mix is a nice funky piece of house music. Smooth chunky beats keep the track flowing while a smooth melodic pattern works well with the funk edged baseline. A true dancefloor record this is as it works its way with dips and jumps in intensity, while always keeping a solid groove. The Sleepfreaks Mix on the flip increases the amount of drums and intensity from the word go. Smooth uplifting effects are used while the main melody from the original makes sparse appearances throughout, the baseline instead from the original getting more attention. A quality late night mix from the Sleepfreaks. A very nice release from Sumsonic that is not in the usual vein of their sound, but nevertheless it’s a change that is entirely welcome and applauded.
