- Gravitation Records set to make their mark with the release of their Future Sound of Gravity EP Volume 1. Featuring 3 diverse productions, this is sure to have moments to please all.
On the a-side is Shanghai Corporation – ‘Gold Coast’, the duo which comprises of Chris Sterio and Jools. This is more of a tribal house production that features some smooth drums and deep effects. Quite minimal in its approach, the track only really shines in moments such as the smooth breakdown and the latter half of the track where the atmospheric moments combine with some good drum loops.
On the flip is firstly Hellpass – Growler (Blue Haze Remix). A deep melodic remix this is of the forthcoming single from Andrew ‘Hellpass’ Byrne. After remixing Echofalls to good results, Blue Haze does the same here, keeping the track flowing while using the melodic elements to great effect. The weird twisted breakdown midway also deserves special mention.
Following this is Mario & Eric J – ‘Ocean Park’. The deepest of tracks on the EP, this features a smooth rolling baseline and nice piano lines. One for the summer beaches this production, bringing a great deep house element to this EP.
A very smooth release this from Gravitation, featuring 3 pretty solid tracks.
