Fergie - Ken the men

  • Following up their current release from Rob Mooney - Feelin' Electro , Techno playboy Fergie pays Punch Funk records a visit with Ken the men - a three take package with a re-rub from Tolfrey&Sylvester. This fresh label still in its infancy has already seen remixes from big wigs Trevor Rockcliffe and Valentino Kanzayani. The track comes in two parts,Part 1 is a whole clutch of forceful beats and reversing sounds setting the pace as squidgy, glitching sounds work about the mix, slightly distorting as the rhythm gathers pace.In creeps mood synth stabs pulsating as airy sweeps lead into the next phase.Throughout there's a dirty approach as more spluttering synth patterns entangle added percussion ontop. Part 2 cranks up the energy somewhat with beefed up rhythms taking control while parts of the original are twisted into a beckoning flow.Scattered throughout are drilling stabs and drum fills to re-enforce the attitude at the break. The Tolfrey&Sylvester mix wraps things up with a bleeping re-edit , utilising the originals elements in an elongated progression unfolding at a slower place.
