Lowriders Crew 2005 - Rapattack

  • It is not often that you encounter a driving chunky progressive house production with rap vocals in them, but with Rapattack by the Loweriders Crew 2005, this is exactly what you have on the LowRiders imprint. The Main Vox is first up and I must say that it is quite an interesting combo. The vocals are quite full on and for me I am not too sure if they work that well with the musical aspects. The track is very chunky, moving very well with large baselines, smooth warm pads and some heavy drums, but for me the melodic side of things don’t work too well with the vocals. The Dub Mix obviously is very welcome as the vocals are stripped and what is left is a driving melodic progressive number that moves in a similar pace to the a-side. It adds to a pretty solid release, and a release that will definitely please those who find the vocals on the a-side to their taste.
