  • The Introduction starts off with some very dark ambient vocals and weird noise, setting the scene perfectly for the dark set ahead. The first track begins banging; right out of know where it seems... I must say it took me a little while before this style of track sunk into my system. But once it did the set really started to flow well. It takes a similar dark edge that someone like Mauro Picotto's style does but without the overly heavy bass line. The 2nd half of this album really takes a good look at techno from this year. Funk D'Void's Samuel L sessions Juice Mix of Diabla is a great track that really fits perfectly. It then mixes so well into that of 'World Of Deep' by E - Dancer. G Flame's 'Buss Eye' on Alpha Recordings NYC is a very nice track and really features well in the middle of this album mixing in from 'World Of Deep'. Some more highlights on this album are that of the 2 tracks by Gary Martin and then follows into two tasty tracks from Mr Sliff [aka Adam Beyer] with his tracks Rippin' and Dippin' parts 1 and 2 that really go down well. This is Kevin Saunderson's second ever released mix CD and first release on Trust The DJ, and it is quite impressive. I think the begining started a little off centre but it finishes up perfectly in a style that will remind you of Kevin's live sets. If dirty Detroit techno is your style then definitely give it a listen. More: KS:01 - Trust The DJ.
