30Hz - Eating The Dead/Mike Dyson

  • Straight off the bat from releasing Moving Ninja's Witchdokta, Vertical Sound take on another 30Hz release once again bringing forth their brand of dirty, bass heavy breaks oozing with futuristic sounds. Side V. Eating The Dead From a track title that sounds more at home on a horror sci-fi movie, Eating The Dead is a piece of dirty electro breaks which takes place in "the year 10762" dropping a filthy acid induced bassline, techy sweeps and a percussive bongo lick. The beatdrop smacks you right in the face as it comes as rude as an uninvited guest before the beats come back in and it's dirty breaks all the way. Side S. Mike Dyson Nothing to do with the heavyweight boxer of similar namesake, Mike Dyson is a heavy hitter of a tune utilising a hard pounding kick drum, latin percussion overlay, squelchy bassline and a mirky tech hook. The beat drop sees the bass go solo for a moment while the kick drums take an acid trip as they give off a squelchy tone before bringing back the madness from the start. Mike Dyson brings forth a big droning sound that should work well on hard progressive dancefloors.
