Israel Vich & David Preston - Nintendub

  • A unique combination here with Peru’s Israel Vich combining in the studio with Florida based David Preston to create a somewhat retro and deeply groovy production in Nintendub. An original and Polo Mojo reworking are included, so a sure fire success is guaranteed in this release you would suspect. The Original Mix on the a-side begins with some nice chunky beats before it builds into some bleepy business that is teamed up nicely with a nice groove rolling baseline. One word is needed for description of this track, and that is smooth, as the track flows beautifully from start to finish. The Paolo Mojo Gamebwoy Remix on the flip adds a bit of beef to the release by toughing it up a little bit. The beats are noticeably more intense, the beeps and bleeps are spread out like a virus, and the baseline rumbles accordingly. There is the trademark techiness to Paolo’s work, through cut up vocal samples and stuttered drum patterns, as well as the original bleeps. Yet another quality release by Music Is Freedom, with (and I must say yet again) both sides of the record doing good things.
