Einzelkind - Dirtdrive EP

  • Infuse, a digital sub-label of Fuse London, was set up in March last year to release more material from the influx of music landing on the desks of Enzo Siragusa and co. While the first three releases shined a light on lesser-known artists affiliated with the party, the fourth release starts 2014 with an EP from Einzelkind, a regular guest. "Dirtdrive" and "Bless" are both examples of the dubby house fare that works at Fuse parties. The former leads with cutting kicks and a muscular bassline, completing the offering with intermittent spells of spoken samples and muted whistles. All in all, it's a tidy club track. "Bless" is less incisive, though, evoking Einzelkind's housier La Peña moniker through its loose claps, Latin vocals and live crowd noise. If that sounds like a dated combination, that's because it is.
