Transluzent feat O'Dessa - I Need You (Remixes)

  • Transluzent feat O’dessa’s ‘I Need You’ is a fairly moody and atmospheric tune that hits you with its strong feel. The track has made the #2 spot on the Music Week Breakers Chart, and was also featured on the WMC Music Week BeechPlugin CD and it is well deserved. It features long building bass lines that has a really nice depth throughout. When it finally drops in the sexy long and rather simple female vocal, it somehow manages to steer clear from being a standard cheesy tune and keeps it nice and clean throughout. The PlasicMinds Lost mix is slightly deeper than the original and it starts with a similar feel. This Lost mix then winds into a mixture up of different beats and lives up to its remix title. Although the randomness of this mix unfortunately doesn’t give you the same satisfying feel when you listen to it, and is overshadowed by the other two mixes on this release. Having said that... it is worth listening too and is different to most other stuff you will hear out there. The third track on this vinyl, (and my recommendation) comes in the form of the South American production team of Hernan Cattaneo and Martin Garcia. Their remix of ‘I Need You’ is up their with the best of their work. The tune builds in with some very simple effects and the bass drum lands in building sweeping and changing before it kicks with substantial force. For those of you that have heard Hernan DJ, this is trademark to the style of music that he plays. It is uplifting and energetic, in a progressive kind of way and is a great full bodied tune. The light bongo drums in contrast with the smooth, wide extended bass sound give this remix an exceptionally great feel, and surely help get dance-floors moving. This mix is spot on, and in a saturated market of sub-standard tunes, this is one that helps keep the progressive music industry at a decent benchmark. I hugely recommend giving this release a listen. The set of tracks on this vinyl all feature something a bit of everything, some nice vocal moving sounds, a mixture of great house beats and a solid progressive club mix. You can find some of the full tracks to listen to (as well as a remix or two not included on this release) on the Ark Records website.
