ABAGA Records is an Edinburgh based label releasing bass and dubstep music. Founders Tactus, The Mighty Cornelius and Camphor Haze have been releasing music through the label since early 2008, and have since signed many other artists, both Scottish and international, aiming their bass heavy music at dancefloors around the world.
Since its inception, ABAGA Records' promotional methods have operated from a grassroots level. Fanzines, flyers, radio play, club nights - all have been subtly designed to grab you by the baws and drag you into their darkly dubstep sound. Plays on BBC Radio 1 and by big DJs have affirmed ABAGA Records' status as a forward thinking label.
Tactus has brought the sounds of ABAGA to saturation in Edinburgh's electronic music scene by playing regularly at club nights such as Jungledub, Split, and Nu-Fire, creating exciting live shows alongside big names in the industry.
ABAGA Records' forthcoming releases will feature new artists who will continue to push musical boundaries.
