Often Gruven recordings gave birth to a sub-label. After the main label has obtained a notable recognition abroad and make its mark within the electronic music community, the OU founders decided to launch Often Gruven Light.
As a reference, Often Gruven Light could be considered as a new "tool" that helps to release top quality demos that sound in a rather different bandwidth from the direction offered by the main label. The musical spectrum covers by the Often Gruven "family" is now officially wider than ever and even if we already have a strong idea of the path that OU Light will take, the door will always be kept wide opened for explorations!
OU Light is highly influenced by a crossover of electronic music genres, all greatly esteemed, on a way or another, by the co-founders mParadis and Sternreise. Sometime tinted of IDM, regularly enveloped by vocals and atmospheric vibes, electro sounds, the "releases" proposed by Often Gruven Light explores, in a parallel manner, several avenues of house music!
Still being very dancefloor-oriented, the level of quality, as well as the diversity relative to the productions offered by OU Light put all the tracks on the list of good candidates for not only clubbers but also for music listeners... and lovers as well. The fleet of artists affiliated to OU Light all found a good way to create a fine electronic music that uses the old good "House music" as vehicle.
Like in the case of his mother "Often Gruven recordings", OU Light is exclusively managed and distributed by the UK label management group Critical Rhythm Limited.
