Defrag started in 2001 as a kompakt exclusive distribution label trying to redefine the boundaries of techno music. Until now, the label has released a total of 29 singles producing various artists such as: Gui Boratto, G-man, Darkfarmer (one behalf of swayzak), Robert Babicz, Lee van Dowski, Quenum, Michael Stavostrand, Anders Ilar, Mario Masullo and Glitches, Sid Le Rock to name just a few. Very quickly especially in Europe, the label has developed into one of the most popular electronic platforms to come out from Italy.
