  • Joakim is known as a man of many talents, the kind of person who seems at home performing live on stage, DJing or producing bands in the studio. The Frenchman's production history dates back to the early '00s, with several EPs and albums on the Parisian label Versatile Records. He launched his own Tigersushi imprint in 2002, and began putting out an array of new and reissued music from the likes of Cluster, Maurice Fulton and Metro Area, and soon developed a close relationship with kindred spirits such as Ivan Smagghe and Optimo. RA's Aaron Coultate caught up with Joakim before a recent gig in Berlin to discuss his latest collaborations, an impending move to New York, and his love of gastronomy.
