- The five-month program balances music production, sound theory and business.
Bridges Academy, the flagship project of the Bridges For Music charity has now opened in Langa, a township outside of Cape Town.
The first five-month music and entrepreneurship program starts next week and welcomes 20 students. The curriculum doesn't just focus on production—it covers everything from general project management to signal flow and live sound mixing. There's also a segment on the history of electronic music.
Bridges Academy was initially funded by Resident Advisor's fundraising 300-mile cycle to ADE initiative in 2014. As a result, we raised £101,866 for the project, which helped it progress into the building planning and construction phases.
