  • Four people were sent to hospital after overdosing at Le Sucre last Friday night. The clubbers were attending a Mutante party on Friday, November 11th at Lyon club Le Sucre when they were hospitalized from drug overdoses. The club shut its doors around 3 AM that night, after staff had decided to close for preventive reasons. The news, which was widely covered by national media over the weekend, initially surfaced on local news website Lyon Mag, which quoted rumors circulating on Twitter of a "poor quality drug sold by a dealer in the club that night". In a statement sent to RA, Le Sucre denies this version, explaining "the hospitalized persons—all of whom were in the same group—admitted taking the drug with them to the party." While expressing its relief about their recovery, the club has announced its intention to file a claim against those patrons who took drugs at the club, in order to prevent itself from "irresponsible actions" harming its reputation and economic sustainability.
