  • The charity organisation Shelter have announced a Christmas party at Mint Club this Sunday. Helping the homeless has never been tougher, as this week the organisation announced £400,000 in losses in 2008 due to a reduction in donations thought to have been brought about by the current economic crisis. Hoping to help recoup the cash, Radio 1's Mistress de Funk will join BackToBasics resident Buckley on the ones and twos, and there'll be a host of DJs from Leeds club nights Dirty Disco, KeToLoCo, mono_cult and Twaddle backing them up throughout the night. There's also a Christmas fancy dress theme, so get dressed up in your preferred Lapland gear and join them for a night of music, dancing and general good spirits. Donations, we expect, will be very welcome.
