  • German experimentalist Jan Jelinek continues his love of the obscure with his new imprint, Faitiche. The label's first release is ostensibly by a previously unknown pharmacist, Ursula Bogner, and is a record of her synthesizer experiments over a 20 year period. Yet despite the extensive biographical information, we can"t help shake the feeling that this just might be another one of Jelinek"s elaborate concepts. From Bogner's bio, written by Jelinek:
[Bogner] followed the activities of Cologne-based "Studio für elektronische Musik", attended seminars by Studio founder Herbert Eimert, exhibited great enthusiasm for Musique Concrète and, later on, shared her children's enthusiasm for British New Wave Pop....and developed a strong fascination for Wilhelm Reich"s "orgonomy", the sexual researcher and psychoanalyst's bizarre late work on his discovery of "orgonenergy." Reich aimed to...collect this particular type of solar energy and use it for healing purposes. To this end, he created an apparatus, a cabin of wood and metal otherwise known as an "orgon accumulator." Inspired by several trips to "Orgonon" (Maine, USA) – Wilhelm Reich's former workspace and home - Ursula Bogner decided to construct her own accumulator and stored it in the family's backyard.
Further obscuring the truth, when asked by RA about future plans for the label, Jelinek claimed that he was "working on a faked reissue of a more or less well-known band." The mystery continues... Tracklisting 01. Begleitung für Tuba (1982) 02. Inversion (1978) 03. Proto (1980) 04. Metazoon (1979) 05. Momentaufnahme (1977) 06. 2 Ton (1984) 07. Speichen (1979) 08.
