  • The Bloc Festival has announced its dates for its 2009 edition, but more importantly one of its headliners: Future Sound Of London. Grabbing Brian Dougans and Gaz Cobain for the event is a bit of a coup, as the duo haven't played live under the FSOL name since 1998. The two are set to perform in their inimitable fashion as well: They'll be in their own studio, connected to the festival via an ISDN line, watching the festivities via a video feed to gauge the reaction of the attendees and adjusting their music accordingly. Those attendees won't be in the normal Bloc Festival venue this year, though. The organizers have announced that from March 13th to the 15th, you'll be dancing at Butlin's mega-resort in Minehead, near Bristol. Among other attractions, it has largest water park in the South West, so you can feel free to bring your swimming suit. But don't think about getting a tan, as this is one festival that goes off indoors. Every festivalgoer is put up in luxury holiday apartments which surround the main, indoor arenas.
