  • Experimental duo Fuck Buttons will head up Australia's edition of the All Tomorrow's Party festival. While the ATP Festival has largely been associated with indie rock and experimental music in the past, the inaugural Australian edition—which will take place over three dates—is set to at least nod in electronic music's general direction. Synth pioneers Harmonia (Michael Rother, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Dieter Moebius) and The Silver Apples will rep hard for those looking for a taste of the origins of the genre, while Brighton's Fuck Buttons will show where the experimental side of electronic music may be heading. The group, whose 2008 full-length Street Horrrsing was described by Pitchfork as "one big loop...-- an unbroken sonic circle" will perform alongside indie favorites and festival curators Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Spiritualized, The Necks and more.
