Rhythm and Vines brings in the New Year

- Digitalism, Carl Cox, Franz Ferdinand and more will headline.
- Digitalism, Carl Cox, Recloose, Busy P, Adam Freeland and a host of others will bring in the New Year in New Zealand's Rhythm & Vines Festival. Taking place at Waiohika Estate—a venue surrounded by a working winery—the event is in its sixth incarnation in 2008 and looks to be serving up its largest lineup yet. From the indie side of things, Franz Ferdinand, The Datsuns, The Kooks and Ruby Suns will perform, with an appearance by electronic soul man Jamie Lidell also promised. Given that New Zealand is so close to the international date line, you can be among the first to greet 2009. Not a bad incentive, eh?
