  • Midfield General, aka Damian Harris, known for his early contributions to the break beat scene and close ties with Fatboy Slim, will release new long player General Disarray in September. Founder of Brighton based record label Skint, Harris returned to the studio in 2005 to concentrate on production, most notably working with Justice as executive producer on D.A.N.C.E., arguably one of the biggest cross-over singles of 2007 (and a lucrative success for the Ed Banger label). 8 years on from Harris’ debut artist album Generalisation, his return to the LP front brings a host of collaborations. Noel Fielding (of Mighty Boosh fame) returns, following a previous collaboration on Generalisation, providing vocals for a dirty funk track. The first single off the album Disco Sirens, released back in April 2008, features an all-star cast - vocals from Bumblebeez front-man Vila, instrumental payback from Justice’s Xavier De Rosnay and mixing by Soulwax (check the video on youtube). Ralph Brown (actor), Jack Van Gelder (football commentator), Pat Stalworth (70’s soul singer) and Pedro Winter (Ed Banger label manager) all chip in with various forms of vocal work. General Disarray features a melting pot of everything from leftfield pop, to house and techno. Tracklist 01. Self Referencing Intro 02. Disco Sirens (featuring Vila) 03. 137 Piano 04.
