Frankfurt's deep house duo Motorcitysoul will release their sophomore album on Simple in October.
The time seems ripe for the music of Matthias Vogt and C-Rock, what with the European continent currently in the throes of a deep house revival. That's exactly what's on offer throughout Technique—an album that promises at various moments to "want to love you more," "change you...slowly," and "deliver me." Lest you be discouraged by the seriousness, though, there's also a song about space cats. No matter the subject matter, the duo is usually led by synthesizers that sound like they've been doused in what the press notes call "soulful melancholy."
