  • French equipment specialists Jazzmutant have announced they are to be behind the launch of a new night at London’s King’s Cross Scala in an attempt to host an evening that not only offers revelers a couple of DJs and £4 cans of lukewarm Red Stripes, but one that focuses on the live spectacle. An adherent of Jazzmutant’s Lemur touch-screen controller (which’ll be projected onto a screen as the artists play), Bremen beatnik Stephan Bodzin headlines Overload’s opening night, alongside live performances from Deepgroove, Jamie Anderson (showcasing material off the forthcoming Kill Machine) and sets from Overload residents Biased Guy and I&I. The Foyer Bar, hosted by Data Transmission, will feature Macleod, Union and Kinky. Elsewhere Audio Jackers, James Hyman and a host of others roll out the Friday night sounds.
