  • Heading to Barcelona for Sonar? The pick of off-Sonar parties on Friday is surely Raum Open Air featuring Luciano, Loco Dice, M.A.N.D.Y. and more. Held in association with Resident Advisor, Cadenza, Get Physical, Monza Ibiza and Desolat, Raum Open Air happens at the 5000-capacity Velodromo de Horta, which promises to rival Sonar itself in terms of scale. In fact, you might even need to bring your bicycle to get from one end to the other. Musically, the twelve-hour party is split into two stages, with one end featuring artists from Cadenza and Desolat including studio wizard Martin Buttrich; Fabric resident Craig Richards; Cadenza signees Alejandro Vivanco, Reboot, Michel Cleis; and, in a rare move, Cadenza boss Luciano spinning back to back with Loco Dice. At the other end of the velodrome, Stage Two is hosted by top Berlin label Get Physical and Ibiza promoters Monza. This stage features DJ sets from party duo M.A.N.D.Y., Cocoon’s own Tobi Neumann, Get Physical boss DJ T., Chilean master Pier Bucci plus a live p.a. from Herr ‘Heater’ Samim feat. Miguel Toro. With a lineup like that, not to mention the open air location, the party is sure to be a huge draw. The metro station is less then 50meters from the festival main entrance (Green Line - Mundet Station) and Raum have made plans in case it rains. But this is Barcelona, remember – likelihood of rain: not that high. Don’t forget to have an early dinner, though – the 12-hour party kicks off at six in the evening. You get to see the sunset and the sunrise. Click the event below to purchase tickets and find out more details. See you in Barcelona.
