British house heavyweight Defected has announced the line-ups for its Ibiza residency this summer.
The sixteen parties happen every Tuesday from June 10 to September 23 at the island's original glam house institution Pacha. The programme includes thirteen nights showcasing artists from its long-running In The House mix series as well as three Strictly Rhythm specials.
Eight residents will spin on rotation throughout the season including Kenny Dope, Sandy Rivera, Junior Jack & Kid Crème, Shapeshifters, Quentin Harris and Copyright with live percussion from Shovell most weeks. Guests include Bob Sinclar, who spins the opening party; recent ITH pick Gilles Peterson, Toolroom's Mark Knight, French Afro-beat star DJ Gregory plus New York house originals David Morales and Todd Terry. The Defected faithful can also catch residents and guests at their weekly pre-party at Café Mambo every Tuesday from early evening to midnight.
This year Defected are decking the club out like an Indian temple with Pacha's troupe of in-house dancers also on hand with Bollywood moves.
Can't make it to the island this year? The label's Ibiza annual Defected In the House Evissa 08 mixed by label founder Simon Dunmore drops like clockwork on May 26, 2008.
