Carl Cox jets into the capital for not one but two dates at Heaven this week.
These days the cuddliest man in techno divides his time between pads in Australia and Spain so the nights are actually Coxy's first London club gigs in three years. To celebrate his return, the big man spins this Thursday and Friday at Heaven together with two all-star line-ups which tap names from his Space residency in Ibiza as well as his globetrotting Carl Cox & Friends festival arenas.
On Thursday, Coxy will be joined in the main room by Dutch techno veteran Michel De Hey and Circus ringmaster Yousef with deebee rockers Pendulum spinning with breaks dons Meat Katie and Breakfastaz.
For those that can't make it on a school night, Friday Cox lines up with Green Velvet and Loco Dice in the main room. In the Star Bar Jamie Reynolds from the Klaxons digs out his records for a DJ set alongside breaks heavyweights Evil Nine and Rennie Pilgrem, while UNKLE mastermind James Lavelle looking after The Island.
On both nights Ashley Beedle will also pimp his discofied house in The Island while Italy's Angels of Love will man the Dakota Bar. As it says on the flyer, this is "ultimate Carl Cox." Best grab a ticket now or you might have to wait another three years.
