  • Here's a way to clever way to combat piracy: Belgian discoists The Glimmers are giving away their debut album for free at gigs. The Glimmers' Mo Becha and David Fouquaert have put out plenty of mix compilations on labels such as Fabric, !K7 and Eskimo, but for their first artist album they've decided to take a different route. Instead of putting the album out on a record label proper, the pair are firing up their CD burners and making it available for absolutely nothing for punters who turn up to their club dates. Titled Gee Gee Fazzi after a track by ex-Yello member Carlos Peron, the album promises to be as eclectic as The Glimmers record collection with studio hook-ups with Princess Superstar, Lindstrom & Prins Thomas, Padded Cell, Freeform Five's Anu Pillai and Ray Mang. There's also a cover of Olivia Newton-John’s aerobics classic ‘Physical’ and a rethink of Spanish rave anthem 'Esta Si, Esta No (Asi Me Gusta A Mi)'. Tracklist 00. Intro by Cantankerous 01.
