'Mit Dir Sind Wir Vier', the second album from DJ Koze's band International Pony, gets an international release this month.
The Hamburg trio is DJ Koze of Kompakt fame, vocalist Cosmic DJ and instrumentalist Erobique. The trio trade in soul, RnB and juvenile jokes, which is surely a combination you don't hear too often. The international release contains the original twelve tracks from the German version of the album, which was released last year, and two new remixes from Jackmate and Mense/Egoexpress.
Here are a couple of International Pony clips. The first is an awesomely stupid cover of Laurent Garnier's 'Flashback' recorded at Koze's studio in Hamburg.
And here is the video for "Gothic Girl', which is also included on the CD version of the record. Our favourite couplet: "She said she likes black music too, but a different kind". Well, we laughed. Who says Germans don't have a sense of humour?
