Brian Eno, David Bowie and Gas star on the latest mix CD from The Orb's Alex Paterson. 'The Art of Chill 4' arrives in August.
The Orb’s ever-rotating line-up has resulted in collaborations with the KLF's Jimmy Cauty, Killing Joke's Martin Glover and Thomas Fehlmann among others, but ‘The Art of Chill 4’ features Paterson alone behind the decks. The ambient/chill mix is a 2CD set that brings together Orb influences such as Brian Eno, David Bowie and the Mad Professor plus newer cuts by Schneider TM and Gudrun Gut. The selection also includes tracks from Kompakt labelmates Kaito, Ulf Lohmann and Wolfgang Voigt as Gas.
