  • Rare disco and indie-electro are on the menu when Turnmills night Together hosts the launch party for Bestival next Saturday. Bestival is Rob Da Bank's boutique festival on the Isle of Wight that's known for its eclectic programming as well as for holding the Guinness Book of World Records title for the largest and silliest fancy dress parade. Can't hold out until September? Room three has Da Bank on the decks heading up a teaser of the 2007 programme. Pre-teen starlets Kitty Daisy & Lewis stay up late to jam with mum on double bass and dad on guitar before this year's Bestival headliners, theDub Pistols, spin with MC/vocalist Rodney P, who will also hop on the decks afterwards. In room one Black Strobe’s Arnaud Rebotini does his goth electro thing, Boys Noize [Turbo, Kitsune] plays the indie-electro crowdpleasers, techno boffin Funk D'Void calls up Detroit while Together residents Justin Robertson and Mike Oman add the rave. Room two has four duos on the bill: Mash-up kids Streetlife DJs, disco hoarders The Glimmers, kooky minimal tech house pairing 3 Channels and bloggers-cum-DJs Skull Juice in the DJ booth. Want to kit yourself in something silly? Dress up as your favourite entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest (Bucks Fizz, anyone?) and be in to win a pair of tickets to Bestival 2007. Elsewhere there's retro computers, slinky races and the usual free stuff such as haircuts, face painting and jelly & ice cream. 'Bestival Together Forever' takes place at Turnmills in London on Saturday, April 28, 2007.
