  • Belgian electrohousers Spirit Catcher unveil a debut album on 20:20. ‘Night Vision’ will be released early March. As their bio puts it: “As we all know, exciting and romantic collisions happen in, say, Hollywood or London. Not in Belgium. I mean, does Belgium have C.H.I.P.s? Or Hart to Hart? It doesn’t. It has bugger all. No heroes, no drama, no action. Chocolates, beer…and Spirit Catcher!” Humble stuff, but producer & DJ team Jean Vanesse and Thomas Sohet have released more than their fair share of house and electro on a huge range of labels including Freerange, Moodmusic, Crosstown Rebels, SAW Recordings, 20:20 Vision, Confused and F-Communications. The duo have a special affinity for remixes: they’ve cut rejigs of artists across the house spectrum, recently posting off cuts to 2020 Soundsystem, Phonique and Satoshi Tomiie. If you've been following electrohouse closely, you might have caught Spirit Catcher cuts on compilations such as Ewan Pearson’s ‘Sci-Fi-Hi-Fi Vol.1’ and Seamus Haji’s ‘Sessions’. Spirit Catcher’s debut artist album is reported to shift their sound away from the dancefloor to more downtempo and exotic climates, but beyond that little else is known. A bit humble and self-effacing then, like Belgium itself. ’Night Vision’ tracklist 1. Motown Spring 2. Roller Coaster 3. Space Crash 4. Sweet Deal 5. Search Is Over 6. Time Emulator 7. Night Vision 8. Voodoo Knight 9. Hidden Memories 10. Harmonize 12. Dirty Circuit ’Night Vision’ by Spirit Catcher will be released on 20:20 Vision on March 5th, 2007.
