  • RA ears on the ground report that the Dial All Nighter went off with a bang in Berlin last week. This Friday it’s London’s turn. Dial Records have been honing their lush take on techno out of Hamburg since 2000. Captain of the Dial ship is Lawrence, aka Sten, who is making his way to London alongside labelmates Carsten Jost and Pantha Du Prince, the latter of which have got a stunner of a new album ready for release on Dial this January. Fans of deep, spacey techno, Kompakt lushness or RA podcast 034 from My My would do well to get in. Check Dial's MySpace for a sampling of what to expect. Support arrives from Juergen Junker and Lakuti, while in Room Two able locals Nick Craddock, Marco Shuttle and Stefano make up the bill. The London party is organised by Süd Electronic, the brainchild of Alan Abrahams, aka Portable, who has been peddling a London take on minimal for longer than most. The Süd Yuletide party is now in its fourth year, and this time with Dial on board it promises to be better than ever. As the flyer says: “Forget mince pies, overcooked turkey & Brussels sprouts. Great electronic music will be on offer on this occasion.” Süd Electronic's Yuletide Knees Up is happening on the 15th December 2006 at The Rhythm Factory, London.
