  • November 18 2006. Radioactivity is a weekly roundup of the best radio shows, podcasts and downloadable sets online. This week Magda, Jimpster and Deetron. *** Deetron's memories: Swiss techno producer Deetron has kindly made available for streaming his new album 'Twisted', which includes Carl Craig and Joris Voorn fave 'The Afterlife' featuring Paris the Black Fu from the Detroit Grand Pubahs. Want to know a little more about Deetron's influences? This week he also has a guest mix on Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Radio Show at Giant Step. The mix is available from November 19 and is a journey through a selection of Deetron's current and all-time faves including cuts from Roy Ayers, Bruno Pronsato, Jeff Mills and Moodyman. M_nus on Mobilee: This week's guest on Anja Schneider's 'Dance Under The Blue Moon' on Radio Fritz out of Berlin is first lady of minimal techno, Magda. Like all guests on the show, Magda will chat to Anja (in English?) plus spin a DJ set. Don’t forget Anja also co-runs Mobilee Records and has just mixed the label's first compilation 'Back to Back', which you can win a copy of, as well as other Mobilee vinyl goodies in RA's exclusive competition. 'Dance Under The Blue Moon' airs 10 p.m - 1 a.m. GMT + 1. Let No Man Jack: One of RA's favourite blogs is Let No Man Jack. In fact, we liked it so much we invited its author Stephane Girard to join RA's review team (he's the radical guy that poo-pooed Heidi vs Riton and found perfection in Trentemoller). Stephane also has a radio show out of Montreal, which he often makes available for download. It’s a great show for catching up with what’s new in electro-tinged dance, and you can check his blog for the full tracklist if your French is not up to scratch. This week's show features an excerpt from M.A.N.D.Y's 'At the Controls' compilation plus new tracks and remixes by Kiki, Cass & Mangan, Booka Shade and RA podcaster Arnaud Rebotini. Boogie Sessions: Barcelona's ubiquitous Boogie Man aka Jeff Matthews seems to have a new show popping up every other month. His latest baby is called 'Boogie Sessions' and streams on Samurai FM. First up is a live mix from Jennifer Cardini recently recorded at Nitsa. As always, there's plenty of crowd cheers and whistles. Obsessive Compulsive: London night Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which hosts many of the artists on British deep house imprint Freerange, has put up a bunch of live sets by some of its residents and guest artists. RA likes the sound of sets from Jimpster, Mike Monday and live act The Bays in particular, and you can stream or download the mixes in the DJs section. The next OCD night is on December 2. *** There you have it. If you have any links to fantastic music which you want to share with the world, post them in the forum or send 'em along to infoATresidentadvisor.net with the subject line 'Radioactivity'. *** Radioactivity - delivered to your door with the milk every Saturday morning GMT.
