  • This weekend Nic Fanciulli spins in his hometown Maidstone in support of his new Renaissance compilation. Neil Quigley and James Talk also play the free ClubClass party. His latest single might be named 'Lucky Heather' but Nic Fanciulli must have felt like the unluckiest DJ last Wednesday night after the announcement of the DJ magazine Top 100 DJs results. Hot on the heels of another season manning the crowds on the Space terrace in Ibiza, plus a new single and compilation for Renaissance, Fanciulli seemed a shoe-in for a place in dance music's best known popularity contest. But fame and fortune is a fickle thing, and it wasn't to be. Still, there's no better way to forget your disappointment than by playing in your hometown again and maybe sneaking in a bite of mum's cooking before the gig. Fanciulli will be joined upstairs by Neil Quigley and James Talk while downstairs there'll be drum'n'bass with special guest Unknown Error and Liquid Sessions residents Ollie, Dready, Illistrate and Affinity. And even though ClubClass have hired a Funktion One sound system especially for the night, entry to the gig is free. Nic Fanciulli plays at the River Bar in Maidstone, Kent on Saturday, November 4, 2006.
