  • Cr2 celebrate fifty releases with a slice of party electrohouse from owners MNYC Project. 'R U Sure' comes out next month. Cr2 was formed by Mark Brown in 2004 after EMI pulled the plug on Credence Records, where he was working A&R. The label is best known for releases such as Eric Prydz & Steve Angello's 'Woz Not Woz', The Egg's 'Walking Away' and current party electrohouse anthem Fedde le Grand's 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit' (whose bassline we've been unable to forget since we've heard it). Last month it also put out the debut longplayer from Swiss electrohouser and up-and-comer Danny Freakazoid. The label's fiftieth 12" will come from Brown's own MNYC Project, which he is one half of together with Nick Corelli. The pair make big room house ('Strobelight') and vocal progressive ('Something on your Mind'). New single 'R U Sure' is a hands-in-the-air chunk of electrohouse including remixes from Cr2 artists Danny Freakazoid, Ran Shani and Jamie McHugh. MNYC Project 'R U Sure' is released on Cr2 Records on November 27, 2006.
