Shitkatapult compile the best eleven from their ‘Musick to Play in the Club’ series onto CD so you can, er, play it at home. The compilation is released next week.
Shitkatapult and sublabel Musick are both run by Marco Haas (aka tech-punk tearaway T. Raumschmiere of ‘Monstertruckdriver’ fame) and Sascha Ring (aka Apparat), who have been flinging the proverbial shit at audiences for nearly six years. Releases on the labels runs the gamut from IDM to wonky techno, though there’s always a bit of grit under the needle that gives the label its sound.
The compilation features tracks by Shitkatapulters Peter Grummich and Fenin, as well as remixes from Robag Wruhme (Wighnomy Brothers) and Tomas Andersson (‘Washing Up’). Label boss T. Raumschmiere has had a quiet year in 2006, but he finally comes out of hiding to collaborate with American techno artists Motor on ‘Krank im Hirn’.
The CD also comes with a free DJ mix on mp3 by DJ Flush. As always, all Shitkatapult releases are available to download from their Shitshop at very reasonable prices. No shit.
