  • September 2, 2006. Radioactivity is a weekly roundup of the best radio shows, podcasts and downloadable sets online. This week: Phil K, Ozgur Can & Petter and Minilogue at the Panoramabar… *** Minilogue rip it up: We love this one! At the Minilogue site we spied a Minilogue set recorded live at Berlin’s Panoramabar this June. Marcus & Sebastian used to be progressive trancers Son Kite, but these days they’re making a proggy variety of techno as Minilogue which will rub you up the right way, guaranteed. Download the mp3 [94 mb/192 Kbps]. Still on the Swedish tip: Prog techno Scandanavian Özgür Can teams up with countryman Petter [Border Community] to go back to back in a live mix that covers the bases from the minimal of Heartthrob and Alex Under to Thomas Schumacher to Petter’s own summer hit ‘Some Polyphony’. Download the mp3. Ozgur is blogging these days, too. Check the forum for the full set tracklist. [via proghouse.over-blog.com] Sounds supreme: Every Saturday Franky Gee, DJ Raw and E-Lex host the Sound Supreme show on Germany's Fantasy 93.4 FM. Nope, we've never heard of any of them either, but they’ve got goodies in their record bags and quality guests. Recent guests have been Oliver Koletzki, Thomas Schumacher and Tony Rohr. Tune in live on Saturday 9 p.m. - 11 p.m GMT+1, or dig into their archives anytime. All about the trainspotting? Sign up to the website and they email you the full tracklist of the shows. Why Phil K?: Most Melbourne prog and breaks fans will tell you Global Underground's Phil K is one of Australia's unsung dance heroes. Together with Luke Chable as LoStep, Phil has carved out a reputation for top-notch tightly-produced music but as his latest promo mix shows Phil doesn't just spin twinkly prog-by-numbers: from Habersham downtempo breaks mix of Darius Kohanim's 'Revitalised' to German electrohouse duo Groove Rebels and Hungarian breakshead DJ Naga, Phil's latest mix is a chunky journey from start to finish. The mix is now available for download on Phil's website. There's also a live set from February recorded in Guatalajara. This week they’ve got an interview and DJ set from technoist Alexander Kowalski, fresh off his ravey retake of Paul Kalkbrenner’s Gebrünn Gebrünn, who arrives in the studio with his new longplayer ‘Changes’ under his arm. Check out the archives, too because they’ve got interviews and sets by Dutch groover Shinedoe, electro-engineer Legowelt and disco dancer Christopher Just. Nice. There you have it. If you have any links to fantastic music which you want to share with the world, post them in the forum or send 'em along to [email protected] with the subject line ‘Radioactivity’. *** Radioactivity - delivered to your door with the milk every Saturday morning GMT.
