  • John Gosling, known to many of you as the innovative Wall Of Sound signing Mekon, has announced the release of his third studio album this northern summer.

  • John Gosling, known to many of you as the innovative Wall Of Sound signing Mekon, has announced the release of his third studio album this northern summer. ‘Something Came Up’ will see Mekon collaborating with a range of eccentric artist including Afrika Bambaata, Roxanne Shante, Marc Almond and Kevin Mooney. The first double A single set for release on July 3 will include ‘Blood On The Moon’ a work between Bobby Gillespie and Suicide's Alan Vega. On the flip is the infectious ‘Boy Bitten By A Lizard’ featuring newcomer Phillippa, the single comes complete with remixes from arthouse New Yorker's Inflagranti and London's Padded Cell. For the artwork, Mekon has enlisted the help of fashion designer and collaborator Alexander McQueen to provide the provocative sleeve imagery. The full album ‘Something Came Up’ will be released on on 17th July through PIAS and Wall Of Sound. Those in London can hear Mekon live at Fabric on Friday 12th May as part of PIAS/Wall Of Sound's 'Love and Good Times' night with a full live tour to be announced shortly.
