The party a collaboration between credible techno purists Bleep43 and dub masters the Iality Hifi Soundsystem, boasts two London debuts and a special guest to crown your bank holiday celebrations. Chicago's Jamal Moss has developed a cult like following in electronic circles. Mentored by techno royalty Adonis and Steve Pointdexter, Moss continues the work of Chicago's early house pioneers, pushing advanced electronic sounds with the same hedonistic edge. His current projects include releasing as Hieroglyphic Being on Ghostly, Klang Electronic and Axis/6277, and as the Dirty Criminals on Gigolo. Jamal also runs his own label Mathematics Recordings and oversees the reissues of the legendary Muzique label. Performing live for the first time in the UK, this is a rare opportunity to catch the jacking rhythms of an insane black man (another Moss alias). Where the opportunity to see Moss is a rare feat, the coaxed booking of Convextion is quite a landmark. This will be the first tour Hansen, an almost notorious recluse from Dallas, has played live outside of his home country. Since his debut on Matrix records in 1995, Convextion has become revered for his deep, textured techno and electro in the same way only his peers Basic Channel could match. Although having released but a handful of records, all of which are highly sought after and now long deleted, 2006 will finally see Gerard Hansen's debut LP appear on Downlow. Completing the room two line up are Max Duley, Toby Frith and Ken Odeluga. In room one, the Iality Hifi Soundsystem hosts a selection of heavy, dubby and eclectic sounds, joined by internationally acclaimed MC Jonah Dan, mic man of The Disciples' and member of UK roots institution The Bush Chemists.
