  • Grammy Award Winner and owner of Stereo Nightclub in Montreal, David Morales, will launch a new venue in Toronto. Along with partner, local entrepreneur Nevio Persia, Sonic Nightclub at 270 Spadina Avenue in the heart of downtown Toronto will be the city's newest after-hours and event space. The club's opening night is on Saturday April 29, 2006 and will feature David Morales alongside the legendary Frankie Knuckles and Nevio Persia. Previously a theatre, the newly invigorated space now includes hardwood floors for the ultimate dancing experience, whilst decor provided by Precipice Studios – Toronto’s hot design firm known for The Lobby, The Cosmopolitan Hotel and Salon Jie - will create an overall Moroccan vibe. The all important sound system has been custom built to suit the hardwood floor, whilst Dymax has been brought in to light up the venue. Musically Sonic Nightclub will feature residencies from international artists such as David Morales, Billy Carroll and Chus & Ceballos with support from Stereo Montreal DJs and local talent such as Nevio Persia, Sean Miller and Cajjmere Wray.
