  • Sasha. John Digweed. Dave Seaman. The holy trinity of progressive house hits the terrace at Club Space for the WMC. Last year Dave Seaman was a notable absentee from the WMC, missing the conference for the first time in 14 years after the original WMC dates were moved, clashing with his already existing compilation tour dates. So how does he feel about returning to Miami? "To be honest, I didn’t think I’d miss it. But I was wrong! I can’t wait to get back. I also have a CD coming out this year at the same time but I’m going to cram it all in. I think I have 7 gigs in 9 days that week! We also have an Audio Therapy drinks/gathering in the afternoon at Shine on the Monday. It will sort of be like a pre-party to me playing at Space which I’m really looking forward to." Dave Seaman will play with a host of DJs including Sasha and John Digweed on Monday of the conference week at Club Space. Granted all three were pivotal in the rise of dance music in the UK and could be considered as something of a progressive house holy trinity, will there be a sense of nostalgia when the three share the same venue again? '"It’s obviously great to get to play together which doesn’t happen often these days as we’re all doing our own thing," says Dave. "The last time I played with Sasha and John was nearly 2 years ago at the Renaissance festival and it was pretty special. There was definitely some nostalgia in the air that night." Seaman's Group Therapy collective recently finished up a new track called 'Thumbsucker', which appears on the new Audio Therapy Spring/Summer 06 compilation alongside a ton of other AT material, both of which he'll be previewing at the WMC. "We also did a mix of Bedrock’s ‘Santiago’ which will be on there," says Seaman. "The compilation is gonna be released in an unmixed CD format as it was so well received when we did it for the ‘This Is Audio Therapy’ last year." While Seaman is unsure of what big tunes this year's WMC may produce, he does add, "I can tell you what the best record of the year so far is though, Gnarls Barkley ‘Crazy’. Head and shoulders above the rest." Dave Seaman plays the Sasha & John Digweed party at Club Space on Monday March 27th, 2006.
