  • Fabric will host a special midweek event in the name of a good cause this Thursday. Headlining this special school-night outing are cross-over stars, the Bloc Party. The talented British four piece are currently riding a global wave of popularity from dance fans and indie kids alike. A quick glance at their upcoming gigs gives an indication of the regard in which they are currently held with headlining slots at the London Royal Albert Hall, Vegas Hard Rock and the illustrious Coachella festival. Also performing live on the night are New Young Pony Club, currently mid-way through their European tour. Demonstrating a flair for track names, the filthy electro disco ensemble debuted with the single 'Jerk Me' on Tirk, while their new single 'Get Lucky' is to be released on Noize records on March 20. The talent on the decks is equally strong featuring a cast of East London's finest including event organiser Erol Alkan, Lou&Nova, Nathan Gregory Wilkins and 'Silent Alarm' producer Paul Epworth (Phones). Paul flies back to London from New York where he has been working with Dangermouse and Ewan Pearson on the production of the new Rapture album. Alkan is aiming to create a unique party:
”We want this to be a really special event, one that the people lucky enough to be there will talk about for a long time. We can assure everyone that the money raised will be put to an extremely worthwhile use.”
